Vicenza is the Vicenza Military Community in U.S. Army Garrison Italy. The lookup includes Longare. Aviano is a different locality.
Most personnel live in private rentals, typically within 30 minutes of Caserma Ederle.

Housing allowance
- OHA pays rent up to the lease or the ceiling, whichever is less.
- See the rates table for your pay grade.

The Military OneSource housing page for USAG Italy covers assignments.
- Unaccompanied E-1 to E-6 are assigned to barracks on Caserma Ederle or Del Din.
- Temporary lodging allowance is not authorized for those grades when barracks space is available.
- Accompanied members may be offered Army family housing based on availability.
- Private rental is the option when government-controlled quarters are not available, and for unaccompanied E-7 and above.
- The housing office provides the listings, the viewing escort, the lease, and a translated copy.
Email [email protected] 15 to 30 days before arrival.
- Accompanied members should write again 7 days prior.
- The office can then say whether family housing is available for the rank and category.
- All personnel report to the housing division within 48 hours of arrival.
Temporary lodging allowance is revalidated every 15 days.
- Refusing adequate government housing may forfeit it.
Furnishings
- The furnishings office provides a washer, dryer, kitchen appliances, and wardrobes for the tour.
- Loaner furniture is available for up to 90 days, until household goods arrive.
- Italy uses 220-volt electricity.
- Most 110-volt U.S. electronics need a transformer.
- U.S. cordless phones, baby monitors, and other wireless devices use frequencies that are illegal in Europe.

Before you sign
- Email the housing office before you arrive, then report within 48 hours.
- Ask whether family housing or a barracks room is available before you look off post.
- Revalidate temporary lodging allowance every 15 days while you are still in temporary lodging.
