Who runs this site
Next Base Guide is a personal site. For privacy questions, email [email protected].
What this site is
The site publishes monthly cost notes for US service members and their families moving to a base. It is for any branch and any base. It is not an official government website.
Information this site collects
Right now, this site does not collect information from you.
- There is no account and no comment box.
- There is no separate analytics script.
- The site does not set its own cookies. Google AdSense, loaded on every page, can set cookies. See below.
- Pages are static files. Sending a page to your browser is handled by the host (Cloudflare Pages, once you connect it). The host has its own logs and privacy policy.
Email signup
The email signup block is a link off this site to a form. TODO: replace the placeholder link in src/_data/site.json. Until you do, the button does not sign anyone up.
After you add a real form, update this page. Say who receives the address (for example Google, if you use a Google Form), what you will send, and how someone can ask you to delete their address. This website itself still will not have a database of email addresses.
Cookies and Google AdSense
Every page loads Google AdSense. Google may set cookies and use them to serve and measure ads. This site does not place manual ad units in the page body yet. The AdSense script is still included in the page head.

To opt out of personalized ads, open Google's ad settings. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Those settings are Google's and your browser's, not a control on this website.
Links to other sites
Guides link to official pages and to other publishers, including allowance tables republished by third parties. Those sites have their own privacy policies. A link is not an endorsement.
Children
This site is written for adults who are moving a household. It is not directed at children.
Changes
When you finish this draft, replace the draft date with the date you last changed the policy, and remove the draft banner.
Email signup
Get a note when a new base guide is published. This site does not store email addresses. The button leaves this site and opens a form.
